Some Makeup tips

Make up can either make you look like a diva or like a clown. It all depends on how you apply it. Here are some simple steps in order to achieve that diva look that all women love so much.

Imagine of your face as a canvas. The first thing you need to do is even out your skin tone. This is a vital step.

First, apply concealer with a fine brush. Apply it underneath your eye, on the side of your nostrils and sometimes a little bit on your chin underneath your lips adds a little touch. Next, look at pimples or discolorations that need to be covered. Put a little dap and spread evenly over what you want to cover. Always remember to choose the right shade of concealer.

The next step is foundation. You can either use a foundation brush or a sponge for an even look. First, apply a small amount to your “t zone” that is your forehead and your nose. Then spread evenly. Make sure that you look around the chin area and your neck so that the color looks even; you do not want to have a different color in your face and in your neck, check your ear area as well. Make sure it all blends. Work downwards and outward for better results.

Now we move on to the eye shadow. This will pretty much set the tone of your look. You will not get the same response if you wear a bright yellow eye shadow than if you wear a light brown. Make sure that you look at your outfit but make sure it looks professional, just because you are wearing a yellow top that doesn’t mean that you have to match it with the top, uses shades that flatter your skin tone and face. To apply correctly, get a shadow brush and swab over the shadow. Give it a little tap to remove excess eye shadow because if not it will sprinkle all over your face. Apply the color from the lash line to just slightly above the crease. Make sure the color fades as it goes upward for a most professional look. If you want some extra drama with a fine shadow brush use the same color underneath the bottom lashes.

Eyeliner is the next one in the list. The most commonly used eyeliners are black and really dark brown. Try to avoid blue eyeliner even if you have blue eyes. There are several types of eyeliners, from liquid to the pencil. Make sure that the line gets thinner towards the end of the eye. You can use either a thin line or a medium line. Avoid supper big eyeliner it can get messy. If you want to apply eyeliner in the bottom of the eye, if you have big eyes and want to make them look smaller use eyeliner in the inside of the eye, if you want to make them look big then use eyeliner in the outside of the bottom eyelashes. Another thing to take into consideration is that you can “fake” the eyeliner by using a really dark shade and fading it. Eyeliner is optional not a necessity for good makeup.

The next one is mascara. With some tissue remove excess mascara from the wand tip. Hold the wand vertically and brush gently back and forth along the tips of the lashes to separate them. Apply the most mascara at the outer corner, where lashes are the longest and need more color.

The final touch: the lipstick. If you use a regular lipstick bar apply starting at the center of both the lower and upper lips and moving out to the corners. Press your lips so that the pigment is absorbed. Grab some paper (toilet or Kleenex) and press it between your lips in order to remove excess.

Now Voila! You simply have to go out there and show the world your new makeup!
